21 of 33 Chile miners rescued so far

For 69 days, 33 Chilean miners were trapped a half a mile deep into the ground. This is the longest amount of time that anyone has been trapped underground and survived. Luckily, 21 of the 33 miners have been rescued so far. The effort resure has had no significant probelm. So, by Wednesday officals are hoping all of the miners will be rescued. The last miner out will be Luis Urzua, whose leadership helped the miners endure 17 days without any outside contact. The capsule that the miners are being rescued from was bulit my Chilean engineers and is named Pheonix. It is painted the colors of the Chilean flag, white, blue, and red. The capsule travels at an average of 3 feet per second, or in emegencies can travel up to 10 feet per second. The miners' pulse, skin temperature and respiration rate are being constantly measured through a monitor. In addition, the miners are taking aspirin to prevent blood clotting from the quick ascent toward the surface in the capsule. The Chilean officals have promised care for all the miners once they reach the surface, until they have reajusted.
